Music

Dear Music Minister,

I have recently been in touch with the pastor/administrator of the parish and am preparing to come to your parish to lead a 3 weekend – 2 week program called Coming Home to the Earth: an Eco-Mission of Reconciliation. If at all possible, I would need your help in selecting music pieces that would fit the theme of the weekend homilies. The thematic flow would go like this: the glory of Creation (wknd 1), damaged Creation (wknd 2), restoring Creation (wknd 3).If possible, could you use these hymns either as entrance/gathering songs or as a responsorial psalm so that I could refer to them in the homily:

Weekend 1:

Canticle of the Sun (Marty Haugen)
God Beyond All Names (Bernadette Farrell)

Weekend 2:

How Great Thou Art
O God You Search Me (Bernadette Farrell)

Weekend 3:

Prayer of St. Francis (S. Temple)

Of course, feel free to use other songs. If your selection of music could be along the thematic line, that would be great. If I could contact you about a week before coming or upon arrival, that would be very helpful too: I will have a lot of details to see to when I arrive, so the more I can settle before, the better for all concerned.

If you decide to contact me: 508-667-6733, rblandry@hotmail.com, LaSalette Shrine & Center, P.O. Box 420, Enfield, NH 03748.

I look forward to our liturgies together.

Thank You,

Fr. Richard Landry, MS
